Emily Stone Copper Fish Blue Marlin Swordfish Sculpture

blue marlin sculpture

With the Blue Marlin I took the opportunity really to go for detail, colour, and especially, power. The blue marlin has a good claim to being the fastest fish in the sea, and the shape of the fins and the muscular body-shape give this away. They do use the fearsome nose-spike to wound their prey, dashing through the water so fast that lesser fish cannot slip away in time. This is a large trophy sculpture, 115cm (four feet) long.
