Emily Stone Copper Boat on Wild Sea sculpture

Emily Stone Copper Boat on Wild Sea sculpture

The boat is very minimalist, just capturing the curved lines of force dictated by the wind and sea. I love the contrast between the bright copper of the sails, the sleek black of the hull, and the dark torn texture of the sea. A work of man, bravely harnessing two wild elements for his own purposes.

The sculpture comes in two sizes: the larger, seen here, could be displayed indoors or as seen here, outside on a plinth; it is 80cm long, 70cm tall, £745.

The smaller, simpler version is an indoor work.
